    1862-1880 J. Higham Prize Medal Cornet Instrument
    Wonderful original cornet made by Joseph Higham instrument maker located in Manchester, UK. He was a famous instrument maker of the 19th century and this silver cornet won first prize in London (1862) and Dublin (1865). It includes a Conn 14 mouthpiece and the original Higham mouthpiece. I am not certain if the case is original to the instrument but it is included with the sale .On the instrument it says that won the price in 1862 , but according to serial no 35439 is made around 1880. Please check photos for consideration .
